I am toying with the idea of changing the look of this blog. The current template has been in use for a year and a half and it wears me out a bit. I am considering changing back to a standard blogger template for some technical reasons. One of them is the issue of maintenance. The current template is not supported and had to be intensively redone in order to serve my needs.
Now that Blogger templates are offering the functionality I want, I would love to shed the skin I knew wouldn't last forever. Here is an idea what the next look might be. If you find the top navigation bar missing, it sits here on the right, but will move to the top. I would love to hear your feedback.

I'll miss the light blue but other than that it seems quite good.
I find the text length on your current version easier to read than on the new version. The longer sentences on the current version offer easier reading. I don't know if in the final version they would both be the same length or not. Semper Pax, John

The colors are easily adaptable. I am not overly fond of the grays in this template. When I finalize it, I will surely make the feel more warm. Light blue in stead of gray, or cream, or yellow. That is all open for debate. Stay posted
@John
You are right, this template has a fixed width that is too narrow (I find that too). The current template also used to be so narrow and I widened it. Another option is to take a template with flexible widths. Here the columns will adapt to the width of your screen. I like that as well.

I'd just like to re-iterate anonymous. Text length is the main problem on the new look.
